Fed: Inquiry starts into death of SAS man
A board of inquiry will begin a closed inquiry tomorrow into the death of Warrant Officer
DAVID RUSSEL NARY .. the only Australian soldier to die in wake of the US-led war in Afghanistan.
The SAS serviceman was fatally injured during mission training last November.
A Defence spokesman says the inquiry will investigate how and why the tragedy occurred
.. and will inquire into special forces tactics .. techniques and personnel.
But he says the information's classified .. and evidence given will not be open to the public.
The hearing will be held at Irwin Barracks at Karrakatta in Perth.
