Qld: Tucker calls for full preselection vote in Ryan

Defeated by-election candidate BOB TUCKER is calling for a urgent meeting of the Liberal
Party's Queensland executive to decide on preselection in the federal seat of Ryan.

A limited preselection vote -- involving only 85 of 1,200 members -- was due to have
been held tomorrow, but legal action by Mr TUCKER has prevented it.

Justice JOHN MUIR ruled in the Supreme Court yesterday that the limited preselection
method would be invalid.

Mr TUCKER, who is seeking preselection himself, is now calling for the state executive
to convene a full preselection vote.
