Vic: Bracks announces new Cabinet portfolios

Deputy Premier JOHN THWAITES has been given responsibility for an expanded environmentand water portfolio under the new cabinet line-up announced by Victorian Premier STEVEBRACKS.

In other major changes, former community services minister BRONWYN PIKE, will becomeminister for health, while Victoria's youngest ever minister 29-year-old JACINTA ALLANwill take the portfolio of Education Services, Employment and Youth Affairs.

Treasurer JOHN BRUMBY remains in charge of the state's finances as well his role asminister for state and regional development, while LYNNE KOSKY keeps education.

Transport minister PETER BATCHELOR retains his responsibilities but will also take on ports.

Attorney-General ROB HULLS adds industrial relations and workcover to his role, whileminister for police and emergency services and corrections ANDRE HAERMEYER's portfolioremain unchanged.

Bendigo East MP BOB CAMERON has been named as agriculture minister.

Former conservation and environment minister SHERRYL GARBUTt shifts to community serviceswhile tourism minister JOHN PANDAZOPOULOS adds racing to his portfolios.
